I bet you can’t become this fast without practicing with a metronome, and for some reason he decided to leave out that very important piece of information.

You can do this on a normal strat. Like the other guy said. Check out Yngwie Mamlsteen. He’s a great guitarist. Look up “Yngwie Malmsteen – Arpeggios From Hell”. It’s a Neo-Classical metal. Hope you like it. Rock on mate! m/

Its an actual 1972 Strat loaded with Dimarzio Virtual Solo pickups. Actually, when this video was filmed, the pickups were called Virtual Vintage Solo and were a tiny bit different than the newer version.

@TheSwilliams92 Yeah, this lick isn’t easy. Definitely not a great starting point for sweeping. I can do it, but it’s one of the harder ones because there is a lot going on. The timing on this can be very confusing for someone learning to sweep.

Although I’ve seen Tom Hess use this exact sweep (except with only the root on the high E string for the most part), I would work on one of the simpler shapes to learn sweeping. This isn’t an easy lick.

I’ve been practicing that 3 string Ab Minor arpeggio for 3 years and I still don’t have it down.
