Find songs you like that are easy to play. Learn you basic chords. Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice. Learn your scales(maybe even your keys and notes in totality which would be awesome), either find backing tracks or more complicated songs you want to learn and dick around or practice, and keep dicking around and practicing. Also avoid ExpertVillage. You don’t need to be taught, you just need to play more and hopefully fall in love the better you get =)

you may wish to look up the definition for grace note, because the 6th note added in this case isn’t a grace note. Its a properly added note and defines the difference between the pentatonic scale and blues scale.

that’s incorrect. a pentatonic IS a blues scale all you did was flat one not that’s jus
t a grace note not a new scale

jesus. you know what a pentatonic scale is? alright, now add the 5th note of the major scale of the blues scale you’re trying to play and flat that shit. now you got a blues scale. this fool is not in anyway showing off nor is he a shit head. if you cant understand it, its on you guys.

    A blues scale:

    G A C D D# E G A

if thats not enough, its hopeless.
