This is stupid and it didnt help me at all..all he’s doing is saying how awesome power chords are and not how to actually play them. I’m teaching myself guitar and I have no idea what a power chord is, and now 1:40 of my life is wasted…this video is a FAIL!

This is missing a ton of info. What’s a “bar” chord? Which are “the bottom two”? How am I supposed to know how many strings you’re referring to considering all of your fingers seem to be pressing a string down? What do you mean by “a whole step”. Exactly what are you expecting people to bring to the table before they watch this? I’m not sure what “a good way to practice” refers to, not to mention the guitar is out of tune, which I can hear but not everyone coming to this will.

Never use heavy distortion like that when doing barre chords, only power chords, otherwise it sounds too muddy.
